Close-up lens is an extremely convenient tool. By attaching to the front part of the master lens close-up lens allows you shooting in macro style. In another words, close-up lens makes the original minimum working distance of your lens shorter. That will allow you to get closer to the subject and shoot it with bigger magnification. The closer the shooting distance is, the more blurred the background becomes. It is the best photographic accessory for shooting small objects, flowers and insects, that can replace expensive macro lens.

HOW TO ATTACH

To attach the Kenko PRO1D+ INSTANT ACTION CLOSE-UP lens you will need an Adapter Ring and the filter itself of the same size as your lens.

  1. Screw the Adapter Ring onto the lens. Make sure the size of the Adapter Ring fits the size of the lens.
  2. Attach the Kenko PRO1D+ INSTANT ACTION CLOSE-UP magnetic filter to the lens.
  3. Enjoy shooting!

SHOOTING TIPS

Kenko PRO1D + INSTANT ACTION CLOSE-UP lens has a lineup of No.1, No.2, No.3, and No.4. The larger the number of No., the closer to the subject and the larger the image.

The approximate shooting distance when using a close-up lens is as below:

  • for No.1 is about 33-100 cm;
  • for No.2 is about 25-50 cm;
  • for No.3 is about 20-33 cm;
  • for No.4 is about 17-25 cm.

* The shooting distance is the distance from the subject to the tip of the lens. The numbers are guidelines. Actually, there are differences depending on the lens used.
* It is also possible to shoot closer by stacking the close-up lenses on your lens. By combining No.1 and No.3 will give you No.4’s magnification.
* Please note that stacking of close-up lenses may result in vegnetting.
